HomeMy WebLinkAboutZONING BOARD OF APPEALS - 06/12/1989 - DOCKET 89-5 MINUTES ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS June 12, 1989 Public Hearing Docket #89-5 Variation request for paving and parking of vehicles 10 feet ahead of the required 25 foot setback line at 800 Nicholas Blvd. Members Present: Raymond Brandt, Chairman Brian Carey, Member Peter Serafin, Member David Cook, Member Robert Phillip, Member Ted Staddler, Member Anthony Inzerello, Member Staff Present: Thomas F. Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner The Attorney, Joel Brosk, representing the petitioner, Marathon Tool and Machine Works, Inc. , introduced the owners, Jerry Kozlowski and Tadeusz Kozlowski. He stated that the premises are used for the manufacturing of High Tech products for industry and especially for aerospace companies and uses. The property was purchased January 1989, it was vacant for approximately 2 years prior. They now have 10 employees and expect to hire 5 more. They feel with their existing paved area plus an additional 10 feet of paving they could accommodate their cars. Discussion continued on the property and abuting properties both within and without the village. Their rear property line is the Village boundary. Discussion was held regarding parking the front of buildings in the area including 2121 Landmeier which is still before the Zoning Board of Appeals. When the petitioner was asked for a parking layout showing spaces and ingress and egress for the existing and what they proposed to do, they did not have either. The Board told them they could not even consider a request until they received specifics. They were given 30 days to have someone prepare the layout and submit it to the Board.
