Trudan, Plan Reviewer Chairman Inzerello called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A. , 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village. Residential Zoning Variation - Docket 93-5, 1300 Carlisle Avenue. Chairman Inzerello read aloud the legal notice and swore in the petitioner Mr. Ostman. Mr. Ostman explained that he wanted a picket fence instead of a chain link for aesthetic reasons (a chain link fence would be permitted at the proposed location) . He further stated that he needed the fence for the safety of his children that traffic volume was increasing on Carlisle Avenue. Mr. Staddler questioned Mr. Ostman's evaluation of the traffic volume. Mr. Guzzardi asked why the extra setback was so important. Mr. Ostman replied that he wanted more back yard area because of the existence of a room addition, a deck and a children's play set. Chairman Inzerello questioned the extent of a hardship incurred by constructing a fence in the permitted location. Mr. Ostman explained that the presence of trees and structures make the back yard very small . Mr. Keegan made a motion to grant the variation with no second. Mr. Staddler made a motion to deny the request which was seconded by Mr. Guzzardi . Please continue . . . . . . . . . VOTE: AYE: A. Inzerello R. Guzzardi R. Phillips T. Staddler NAY: R.
