November 10, 1994

Chairman Inzerello called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. and
summarized the Legal Notice for the hearing.
Residential Zoning Variation - Docket 94-10
Mr. and Mrs. Filmore explained that they had several reasons for
wanting to put in a fireplace. First, it would increase the value of
their house. Second, they had always wanted a fireplace. Third, the
room they wanted to put it in is very drafty and fourth, this was the
only location where it was feasible to install. The Filmore's
emphasized that the location they chose was the only area in their
family room to put the fireplace. This location would encroach 1 foot
6 inches into the required B foot side yard.
The Zoning Board and Mr. Ray expressed concerns regarding the exact
location on the side of the house where the fireplace would be located,
the type of materials used in the construction of the fireplace and
exactly how high the stack would be.
Mrs. Filmore's brother-in-law (the contractor) then spoke. He said the
fireplace would be built according to Village Code and then showed
pictures and literature pertaining to the location and construction.
This information satisfied the Zoning Board.

Chairman Inzerello asked for any further comments, then requested a
motion. A motion was made by Mr. Phillips and seconded by Ms. zizzo to
grant the variation. The motion was passed by unanimous vote. The
meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
