Residential Zoning Variation - Docket 95-5 - 832 Debra
Chairman Inzerello called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and read
the legal notice for the hearing.
The petitioner, Mr. Hiremath explained that the reason for seeking this
variation was to maximize the amount of yard area for his children to
play.
Ms. Zizzo asked why he felt he needed more yard area than the ordinance
permitted.
Once again, Mr. Hiremath explained he wanted more space for his
children to play.
Discussion followed and all of the Zoning Board of Appeals members
express concern that the placement of the fence as requested could
result in obstruction to vision for motorists at the intersection of
Debra and Biesterfield. They also agreed that the petitioner has not
demonstrated a hardship and since the lot in question was a relatively
large corner lot it seemed as though there was plenty of play area
available to the children within the parameters of the fence
regulations.
A motion was made by Ms. Zizzo and seconded by Mr. Herrick to deny the
variation request. The motion was passed by unanimous vote.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
