Zoning Variation - Docket 96-7
Chairman Robert Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and
summarized the legal notice for the hearing. Petitioners, Timothy and
Janice Fior were present for the hearing. Mr. Fior was sworn in by
Chairman Phillips and asked to present his case.
Mr. Fior explained that not having a basement in their home
necessitates additional storage space and that a shed would be the most
economical way of providing such space. Mr. Fior also stated that
placing the shed within required setbacks would adversely effect the
view of surrounding park area. Mr. Fior continued to explain that the
shed would be placed on 4 X 4 's as opposed to a more permanent concrete
foundation and that doors of the shed would face towards the rear
yard. The shed would be used for storing garbage cans, lawnmower,
snowblower, bikes, etc. .
At 7: 15 p.m. , Mr. Herrick motioned for a vote which was seconded by Mr.
Kaplan. The vote was unanimously in favor of granting the variation.
The meeting was adjourned by Chairman Phillips at 7: 16 p.m.
