VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE
Zoning Variation — Docket #99-6
Chairman Robert Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM and
read the legal notice. The petitioner, Mr. Marceau was sworn in
and asked to present his case.
Mr. Marceau explained that due to a 10 feet utility easement, his
rear yard is shallow, with only approximately 15 feet available for
installation of the shed and possibly a swing set.
Mr. Phillips asked Mr. Zaucha if there are any current zoning
violations at this location. Mr. Zaucha responded, no and further
indicated that the recent fence installation is in compliance and
does have a permit.
Mr. Schumm asked if the petitioner was aware that the shed might
need to be relocated if utilities required repair. Mr. Marceau
indicated that he is aware of the possibility, and that the shed
will be constructed on a wolmanized lumber base allowing for
possible relocation.
Mr. Phillips asked the public if there were any comments. Mr. Alan
Granskog of 690 Clearmont Drive expressed his concern that the
intersection of Maple Lane and Clearmont Drive continues to be the
scene of traffic accidents. Mr. Granskog explained that on
numerous occasions, automobiles have ended up in Mr. Marceau's side
and rear yards. Mr. Granskog indicated that it is the result of
people driving through stop signs and requested that the Village
provide striping at each stop sign of the intersection. The Zoning '
Board recommended that Mr. Granskog attend a Village Board meeting
to express his concerns.

favor of granting the variance. Mr. Phillips then instructed Mr.
Marceau to call the Village Clerk to find out when the variation
request would be placed on the Village Board's agenda. The meeting
was adjourned at 7:14 PM.
