Phillips, Chairman C J. Oliveto T. Rodgers J. Walz R. Penley B. Schumm Staff: S. Trudan, Asst. Dir. , Community Development Zoning Variation - Docket #00-17 - 675 Stanford Circle Chairman Phillips called the meeting to order at 7: 00 P.M. and read the legal notice aloud. The petitioners, David and Jacquelyn Hamilton were sworn in and asked to present their case. Mr. Hamilton began his presentation by explaining that the variation was necessary to build his proposed addition due to the irregular shape of his lot. Mr. Schumm asked the petitioner he was aware of any comments made by neighbors. Mr. Hamilton replied that there were none that he was aware of and added that his plans were reviewed and approved by the Homeowners Association. Mr. Walz and Mr. Rodgers inquired about the location of the addition and how it would effect the existing house, windows, basement escape windows, etc. A motion was made by Mr. Penley to approve the variation which was seconded by Mr. Oliveto. The motion was passed by unanimous vote. The petitioner was directed by Mr. Phillips to contact the Village Clerk to confirm which Village Board meeting they should attend for final approval . The meeting was adjourned at 7:11 P.M. Zoning Variation - Docket #00-18 - 433 Concord Lane Chairman Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and read the legal notice aloud. The petitioner, Ms. Joan Ackermann was sworn in and asked to present her case. Ms. Ackermann explained that were several of her model home that were constructed with fireplaces in the same location as she was proposing. Since her home did not include a fireplace in the original construction and the home was built right up to the side lot line, a variation would be required. Mr. Phillips asked if the fireplace was necessary to provide suplemental heat for the room. Ms. Ackermann replied that that was the case. Mr. Rodgers inquired about what kind of foundation would be used in the construction of the chase, and asked if the petitioner was aware of any comments or objections made by neighbors. Ms. Ackermann stated that she was unaware of any objections. Mr. Oliveto asked which part of the house next door would be facing the fireplace chase. Ms. Ackermann said the neighbor's garage would be facing the chase. A motion was made by Mr. Rodgers to approve the variation and seconded by Mr. Walz;. The motion was passed by unanimous vote. Mr. Phillips advised the petitioner to contact the Village Clerk's office to confirm which Village Board meeting to attend for final approval . The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
