Chairman, Paul Kaplan called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. and summarized the legal notice
for the hearing. Mr. Firestone was sworn in and asked to state his case.
Mr. Firestone explained that he and his wife are in the process of constructing an addition to the
house, and would like to have a covered front porch. Mr. Firestone indicated his hardship is that
the existing house is located too close to the front property line.
Mr. Firestone was asked several questions by Zoning Board members. At 7:12, a motion was made
by Mr. Penley to grant the variance request. The motion was seconded by Mr. Oliveto. A vote was
taken which was unanimously in favor of approving the variance request. The petitioner was
advised to contact the Village Clerk's office to confirm when the docket would be on the next Village
Board agenda. The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
