Johnson, Liquor Commissioner James P. Petri, Commission Member Samuel L. Lissner, Commission Member ALSO PRESENT: Bart K. Dill, Trustee George B. Knickerbocker, Village Attorney Fred Engelbrecht, Police Chief Patricia S. Smith, Village Clerk POPE' S PUB The restaurant is in the process of being sold and in order to keep the ability to sell alcohol, Mr. Pope paid for a full year license ($2, 500 . 00) . Mr. Pope' s request for a pro-rated refund upon the sale of the restaurant was discussed. It was the consensus that if a business holding a liquor license is in business for less than four (4) months a refund of one-half of the license fee would be refunded, if the closing is voluntary. (Not due to violations, etc . ) If in business for more than four (4) months no refund would be given. was made from Spaghetti Warehouse for a liquor catering license in order for then to deliver alcoholic beverages to the LaQuinta Hotel . After much discussion of the monitoring that would be required and potential problems that could arise it was the unanimous consensus to deny this request . EZ Pantry A request from Mr. Patel, owner of the EZ Pantry at 1105 Nerge Road to have a liquor store adjacent to the food store was discussed. Mr. Patel proposed operating both stores with a common check-out counter, but with separate entrances to each store . The commission reviewed the plans as submitted and found problems with some of the proposed changes to the stores and suggested stipulations . The commission suggested that Mr. Patel be advised of the conditions that must be met before the issuance of license would be considered. The stipulations include: Both stores, EZ Pantry and the liquor store must be in operation at the same times - those times being governed by the liquor license regulations . Storage areas must remain separate . Counter person must be 21 years of age . The two stores must remain separate structures. If Mr. Patel is agreeable a license will be considered.
