Johnson, Liquor Commissioner Trustee James I?. Petri, Commission Member Trustee Samuel L. Lissner, Commission Member ALSO PRESENT: George B. Knickerbocker, Village Attorney Ann I . Walsh, Village Clerk Gina Nunes, Court Reporter Mr. Terry D. Slaw, Mr. Mahesh Patel Ms. Mina Patel Mr. Ashok Patel President Johnson reconvened the hearing at 7 :45 p.m. Mr. Knickerbocker, Village Attorney, stated for the record that on October 26, 1999 at the Liquor Commission hearing, the Liquor Commissioner revoked the license of Sunny Liquors of 1197 Rohlwing Road. The Liquor Commissioner then entertained a motion on behalf of the licensee to have that order up for reconsideration. Ms. Nunes swore in Mr. Terry Slaw, Attorney, and Ms. Mina Patel as witnesses herein. Testimony of Terry Slaw and Mina Patel is contained within the court reporters transcript which is attached hereto and made a part thereof. Ms . Nunes swore in Mr. Ashok Patel as witness herein. Testimony of Ashok Patel is contained within the court reporters transcript which is attached hereto and made a part thereof. Mr. Slaw addressed the Commission and for clarification purposes stated that he is to understand that Mina Patel will be present at Sunny Liquors store approximately half of the time. Mahesh Patel will also be there. Mina is going to have a hands-on with the day to day running of the liquor store. If any individual does come in to help as a co-manager he/she will register that name with the Village for the appropriate background checks. Mr. Knickerbocker stated it would be best, if the Commission does intend to reinstate the license, that a written agreement be made between all parties concerned so there' s no misunderstanding. An oral motion was made by Mr. Slaw for a reinstatement of one form or another of the liquor license so Sunny Liquors can reopen on November 17, 1999 at 10 :00 a.m. The Liquor Commissioner announced the ruling made this evening will be to issue the liquor license to Sunny Liquors. The store may open tomorrow (November 17, 1999) at 10 :00 a.m. as a probationary reinstatement until June 1, 2000 . The attorneys are given seven days (Wednesday by noon) to put together the written agreement for President Johnson' s review. The proceedings in the above entitled cause were adjourned.
