Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, Secretary E. Butch Ehrke,and Commissioner Michael P. Kontek. It was moved by Commissioner Kontek and seconded by Commissioner Ehrke that the minutes of January 13, 2006 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Shapiro declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES 1. Police Consultants—Invoice 4373 dated 1/18/06 in the amount of$7266.00 for administration of police officer written examination; 218 candidates. 2. Daily Herald—Invoice T3660654 dated 1/14/06 in the amount of$147.50 for publication of advertisement for police candidates. 3. Office Max—Invoice 139842 dated 1/30/06 in the amount of 19.11 for file folders. It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded by Commissioner Kontek that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE 1. Memo from Chief Goostree regarding Batallion Chief Promotional Process 2. Memo to Chief Goostree requesting comments/criticisms on the six-month performance of probationary firefighter. 3. Notice to Village Clerk advising that the February 21, 2006 meeting has been changed to February 16, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. 4. Memo from Chief Goostree to all sworn staff regarding the Lieutenant Promo Exam. 5. Memo from Chief Goostree regarding the performance of probationary firefighter. 6. Memo to Chief Goostree requesting comments/criticisms on the performance of three probationary firefighters hired on 3/21/2005. Minutes of the Regular Meeting February 16, 2006 Page 1 of 2 OLD BUSINESS 1) None NEW BUSINESS 1) Six-month probationary review of firefighter hired on 8/8/2005. PENDING 1) Police Officer Hiring Process—seven vacancies. Eligibility list is exhausted. 2) Firefighter Hiring Process—four vacancies plus one on military leave; no authorization to replace at this time. Twenty-eight names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on February 2, 2007. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded Commissioner Kontek that the meeting be adjourned.
