Business License Consolidation&Amendments
Following a lengthy discussion, the consensus of the Committee was as follows:
• Combine the general and licensed contractors license into one category, and increase the fee
to $100;
• Increase the Coin Operated Bulk Food,Novelties license to $25;
• Increase the Coin Operated Packaged Food &Beverages license to $50;
• Increase the Home Day Care Center license to $50 for the 2006 licensing year and to $100
for the 2007 licensing year;
• Increase the Day Care Center license to $325;
• Increase the Public Passenger Drivers' Permit Taxi-Livery license to $40;
• Consolidate the Barbershop and Shooting,Gallery license category into General Business
License
• Increase the Public Sleeping license to a fee of$5.00 per room;
• Increase the Liquor license fees as follows:
Class A $2,900
Class B $2,700
Class D $2,100
Class H $1,000
• Increase the minimum fee to $50 for business licensing violations;
• Impose a late fee of 50% of the license fee with a maximum of$500 for applications
received or postmarked after July 1 and allow collection of prior year licenses that were not
previously purchased;
• Reduce the roll-off container permit fee from $2,500 to $500; and
• Have staff review the business licenses and permit fees once every three years.
Bereavement Policy
It was the consensus of the Committee to make an amendment to the existing Bereavement
Policy that would leave it to the discretion of the Mayor or Village Manager to send flowers, or a
donation in lieu of flowers, to individuals who do not fall within the Village's existing policy.
