Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 13. 2005 ,this Executive
Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
Village Manager, Gary Parrin, noted that there would be a new Police Commander at the
beginning of 2006 as a result of the retirement of Commander Lynn Atkinson. In addition,
future retirements in the Deputy Police Chief position will lead to additional changes at the
Commander position.
It was noted that any new Commander would have to fulfill the requirements to potentially
move into the Deputy Police Chief position. There were a total of seven Sergeant candidates
going through the Commander interview process.
G.Parrin informed the Village Board that Sergeant John Nowacki would be promoted to
Commander following L.Atkinson's retirement in January. Officer Matt FioRito would fill the
Sergeant's position left open by Sergeant Nowacki's promotion.
The meeting adjourned at 5:23 p.m.
