Land Acquisition
The Mayor stated that he went on a fact-finding trip to Glenview to look at the Glen
development and obtain ideas for the possible development of the Busse Farm. It was noted
that it might be beneficial to use a land planner to assist in the development of a comprehensive
plan for the site.
The Mayor also noted that the Enesco and San Fillippo properties are both currently for sale. It
was his feeling that it might be beneficial to use a land planner to investigate the possible
redevelopment options available for the Busse/Devon intersection.
In the event a land planner is utilized, the Village may need to obtain control of the property.
It was the consensus of the Board to have the Village Manager seek out a land planner and the
potential cost for the planner and report back to the Village Board at the next Executive
Session meeting on February 28. In addition, the Village Attorney was asked to review the
possible TIF eligibility for the properties located at the intersection of Busse and Devon
The meeting adjourned at 6:34 p.m.
