Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on September 12 ,2006 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Mayor informed the Board that the Daily Herald article about the Elk Grove Police
Officer harassing two parents in front of an elementary school was false. The Mayor
noted that the article claimed that both the wife and the husband were present and that the
child saw the incident. The truth was that the wife was never there and the child was
already in the school when the father confronted the Police Officer.
The Mayor stated that he has spoken with the editor of the Daily Herald and she
apologized for the reporter not getting both sides of the story before running the article.
The meeting adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
