Accounts Payable Warrant: January 18, 2000 6 . CONSENT AGENDA A) Consideration of a request (attached) from the Elk Grove Park District to waive the $25 alarm license fee for the period January 1, 2000 through December 31, 2000 for the following locations: Al Hattendorf Sr. Citizen Center Al Hattendorf Recreation Center Elk Grove TV Studio Elk Grove Teen Center Elk Grove Park District (Administration Building) Elk Grove Historical Society Museum Fox Run Golf Course Elk Grove Park District Warehouse in a total amount of $200. (It has been the past practice of the Village Board to waive the alarm license fee for other governmental agencies. (A request from the Director of Finance, recommending approval, is attached. ) B) Consideration of a request (attached) from the Elk Grove Baptist Church to waive building permit fees in the amount of $180 for the construction of a detached garage at the church. (It has been the past practice of the Village Board to waive building permit fees for churches & other not-for- profit organizations. (A report from the Director of Engineering & Community Development is attached. ) Agenda for VB Meeting 01-18-00 2 C) Consideration to award a professional services contract to Planning Resources, Inc. , to provide Phase 2 Engineering Studies for the gateway and landscape improvements along Tonne Road in a total amount not to exceed $8, 110, to be paid from the ICRC Funds. (The Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Commission (ICRC) has approved gateway and landscaping improvements along Tonne Road from north of Devon Avenue to Landmeier Road. (Planning Resources, Inc. , is the firm selected to provide landscape design services for ICRC projects. They recently completed the Nicholas & Pratt Boulevard landscape plan, and are currently designing the gateway signage at the Elmhurst Road and Landmeier Road intersection. (Sufficient funds are budgeted and available in the Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Fund. (A report from the Director of Engineering & Community Development, recommending approval, is attached. ) D) Consideration to award a professional service contract to TranSystems Corporation to implement Phase 2 engineering for street lighting improvements in a total amount not to exceed $29, 537 to be paid from the ICRC Fund. (The Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Commission (ICRC) has approved the implementation of Phase 2 engineering for continuous lighting along Bennett Road and King Street and intersection and midblock lighting on Randall Street, Kelly Street, Gordon Street, Gaylord Street, Scott Street, Bond Street, Criss Circle and Lee Street. (A proposal was solicited from Trans Systems Corporation. The engineering services for this contract will include the preparation of contract plans, including the preparation of aerial base mapping, and coordination with the Illinois Department of Transportation to obtain permits for lighting along Higgins Road. (Sufficient funds are budgeted and available in the Industrial/Commercial Revitialization Fund. (A report from the Director of Engineering & Community Development, recommending approval, is attached. E) Consideration to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 03-00, approving a Plat of Easement for Public Sidewalk for the south side of Biesterfield Road and west side of Arlington Heights Road, at 900 Arlington Heights Road. (This Resolution approves a plat of easement executed by the owner of the 7-Eleven store at the above location for public sidewalk. The easement is necessary because Agenda for VB Meeting 01-18-00 % 3 existing utilities do not permit the installation of sidewalk within the right-of-way. (A report from the Director of Engineering & Community Development, recommending approval, is attached. ) F) Consideration to adopt Ordinance No. 2731, amending the Position Classification and Salary Plan of the Village of Elk Grove Village by adding one (1) full-time Maintenance Worker and one (1) part-time Porter in the Corporate section of the Public Works Department. (This ordinance increases the number of permanent authorized positions from sixteen (16) full-time Maintenance Workers and zero (0) part-time Porters to seventeen (17) full-time Maintenance Workers and one (1) part-time Porter.
