6 . CONSENT AGENDA
A) Consideration of a request (attached) from Elk Grove
Township for the waiver of Engineering permit fees in the
amount of $1, 000 for the reconstruction of a sanitary
sewer line and removal of a lift station on Busse Road.
(The Village Board has previously granted permit fee
waivers to other governmental agencies including the Park
District and School Districts.
(A report from the Director of Engineering and
Community Development, recommending approval, is
attached. )
B) Consideration of a request (attached) from Momentum IMC,
on behalf of the Elk Grove Super Kmart, to host a "Kids
Against Drugs Race" in their parking lot at 600 Meacham
Road on June 12 and 13, 1999.
(Super Kmart is requesting permission to hold a "Kids
Against Drugs Race" in their parking lot on June 12, from
9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. , and on June 13, from 12:00 p.m. to
6:00 p.m. This event will consist of children ages 7
through 13 racing around a track on motorized lawn
tractors at maximum speeds of 5 miles per hour. For each
child that participates, the Kmart Corporation will donate
$5. 00 toward local organizations that fight drug abuse.
(The Department of Engineering and Community
Development has reviewed this request and anticipates no
complications with zoning regulations and no negative
impact on the surrounding residential area. Momentum IMC
is operating similar events across the country for Kmart
and is fully insured.
(A report from the Director of Engineering & Community
Development recommending approval, is attached. )

C) Consideration of a request (attached) from Village Cycle
Sport, 63 Park `N' Shop Lane, to hold a temporary outdoor
sale from Friday, April 9, through Sunday, April 11, 1999.
(The proposed event will include a 20' x 40' tent
which would use approximately 7 parking spaces. The
Department of Engineering & Community Development has
reviewed this request and does not anticipate any negative
impact on traffic and neighboring businesses. A similar
event has been held by Village Cycle Sport for each of the
last four years without incident.
(A report from the Director of Engineering & Community
Development recommending approval, is attached. )
D) Consideration to authorize a public hearing before the
Plan Commission to hear the petition of Moloney
Coachbuilders for a Special Use Permit to allow the
operation of a vehicle armoring service at 1180 Pratt
Boulevard.
(The petitioner has completed the conceptual review
process with Village staff. Upon initial review, it is
recommended that a hearing be scheduled before the Plan
Commission.
(Moloney Coachbuilders is seeking authorization to
lease space at 1180 Pratt Boulevard to equip vehicles with
bulletproof components. The subject property is located
within an I-2 Industrial zoned district. In accordance
with Section 7E-2 of the Village Zoning Ordinance,
automobile service uses are permitted as a special use in
Industrial zoned districts.
(The date of the public hearing will be scheduled in
accordance with the Plan Commission's schedule. )
