Upon making minor modifications to the newsletter, the consensus of the Committee was to
approve the Spring 2008 Villager newsletter for distribution.
Single Family Rental Homes
Trustee Lissner, Chairman of the Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee briefed the
Committee on the discussion that took place at the February 12, JPZ meeting. The committee
discussed licensing single-family rental homes with a goal of maintaining owner and occupant
information. The Committee recommended charging homeowners $20 annually to license single
family homes. The fee is not intended to bring in revenue but rather to cover administrative costs
to maintain the database of single-family rental homes. It was the consensus of the committee to
adopt the JPZ's recommendation of licensing single-family rental units.
