Zettek Building,901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Secretary E. Butch Ehrke and Commissioner Michael P. Kontek. It was moved by Commissioner Kontek and seconded by Secretary Ehrke that the minutes of March 18, 2008 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Secretary Ehrke declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES 1. Police Consultants,Inc., Invoice 4966 dated 3/26/2008 in the amount of$515.00 for psychological evaluation of firefighter candidate 2. Police Consultants,Inc.,Invoice 4968 dated 4/2/2008 in the amount of$515.00 for psychological evaluation of firefighter candidate. 3. Office Max, Invoice 477641 dated 3/13/2008 in the amount of$166.17 for office supplies. 4. Dowling&Pope Advertising, Invoice 144026 in the amount of$975.00 and Invoice 144027 in the amount of$599.00 for Chicago Tribune and Suburban Chicago Newspaper Ads for our 4/27/2008 police officer exam. 5. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16489 dated 4/11/2008 in the amount of $750.00 for polygraph examination of six firefighter candidates. 6. Integrity Business Forms, Invoice 24962 dated 4/11/2008 in the amount of $214.09 for letterhead. It was moved by Secretary Ehrke and seconded by Commissioner Kontek that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Secretary declared the motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE 1. Retirement Notice from Ofc. Anthony Konetzke, effective 4/27/2008, after twenty-seven years of dedicated service. 2. Retirement congratulations letter from Commission to Ofc. Konetzke. 3. Memo from Chief Schmidt requesting the promotion of Ofc. Jeffrey Andrzejewski to the rank of Sergeant effective 4/28/2008;memo contains Village Manager's approval in margin. 4. Letter to Ofc. Jeffrey Andrzejewski appointing him to the rank of Sergeant effective 4/28/2008. OLD BUSINESS 1. Discuss status of firefighter hiring process. 2. Discuss police officer testing process and timeline. NEW BUSINESS 1. None PENDING 1) Police Officer Hiring Process—no vacancies. Four names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on March 30, 2009. 2) Firefighter Hiring Process—eight vacancies; authorization to replace eight at this time. Sixty-four names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on January 18, 2010. 3) Discuss of CPAT at future meeting when all commissioners are present. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Secretary Ehrke and seconded Commissioner Kontek that the meeting be adjourned.
