Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, and Secretary E. Butch Ehrke, and Commissioner Michael P. Kontek. It was moved by Commissioner Kontek and seconded by Commissioner Ehrke that the minutes of April 15, 2008 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Shapiro declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES 1. Alexian Brothers Corporate Health Invoice 275828 dated 4/23/2008 in the amount of$740.00 for medical evaluation of police candidate. 2. Alexian Brothers Corporate Health Invoice 276653 dated 4/30/2008 in the amount of$477.00 for medical evaluation of police candidate. 3. The Blue Line, Invoice 5476 dated 4/23/2008 in the amount of$50.00 for internet publication of our hiring process (two week prorated fee). 4. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 4984 dated 4/15/2008 in the amount of$515.00 for psychological evaluation of police officer candidate. 5. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 4995 dated 4/21/2008 in the amount of$1015.00 for psychological evaluation for two police officer candidates. 6. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 5003 dated 4/24/2008 in the amount of$1015.00 for psychological evaluations for two firefighter candidates. 7. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 5004 dated 4/29/2008 in the amount of$8464.00 for administration fee for police officer written examination (210 candidates). 8. Police Consultants, Inc., Invoice 5006 dated 4/29/2008 in the amount of$1515.00 for psychological evaluations for three firefighter candidates. 9. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16517 dated 4/25/2008 in the amount of $875.00 for polygraph evaluations for seven freighter candidates. 12. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16519 dated 4/29/2008 in the amount of $125.00 for polygraph evaluation of firefighter candidate. 13. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16528 dated 5/01/2008 in the amount of $125.00 for polygraph evaluation of firefighter candidate. 14. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16533 dated 5/5/2008 in the amount of $125.00 for polygraph evaluation of firefighter candidate. 15. Theodore Polygraph Service, Invoice 16549 dated 5/15/2008 in the amount of $500.00 for polygraph evaluations for four firefighter candidates. Minutes of the Regular Meeting May 20, 2008 Page 1 of 2 It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded by Commissioner Kontek that the Board authorize the disbursement of funds for payment. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon the Chairman declared the motion carried. CORRESPONDENCE 1. Notice of Suspension to Police Officer for violating Rules and Regulations of the Elk Grove Village Police Department, Section 26.].1A, Rules of Conduct, Rule 07 (Insubordination or disrespect toward a supervisory member). OLD BUSINESS 1. Discussed status of firefighter hiring process. 2. Discussed status police officer testing process. NEW BUSINESS 1. Will discuss HB4417 at a future meeting after bill passes legislation. PENDING 1 Police Officer Hiring Process—two vacancies. Three names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on March 30, 2009. 2 Firefighter Hiring Process—eight vacancies; authorization to replace eight at this time. Fifty-five names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on January 18, 2010. 3 Discuss CPAT. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded Commissioner Kontek that the meeting be adjourned.
