Hodlmair called the meeting, to order at 9:20 P;X, at the Ira Lo Rupley School in said Village and directed the Village Clerk to call the roll. Upon the roll being called the following Trustees answered "PRESENT": Frank R. Angelotti, Morgan P. Burke, Jr., Jaa:es Ln Carroll, Laurence F. Grindel, Roger J. Patser and Leonard A. Scharringhausen; °AGSM"; None. Also present at this meeting: Frank M. Opoka, Attorney for the Villa�r; Goorge Scharringhausen, Jr., Village Treasurer; Edward J. McCabe of DeSoto B, McCabe and Associates, Engineers for the Village; Edward Clifford, Police Chief, William N. Glab, Police Dial®trate; Jack C. Michai8, Secretary of the Zoning Commission; Bran Frevert of the Elk Grove Herald; and approximately fifty new residents of the Village -of Elk Grove Village, President Hodlmair welcomed the neva residents of the Ville present and asked i Mr. Oneka to explain the registration of voters in accordance with the Illinois Election Code. Registration of Voters ro-opeaed in the Village on Tuesday, November 19, 1957 and will continue nntil the close of businesse on Tueeday, January 21, 1958, The Village Clerk will register voters from 7;00 P.M. until the Village Board meetings are called to order. Before this meeting was called to order the Village Clerk received approximately forty registrations. It vat moved by Trustee Grindel and seconded by Trustee Carroll that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trusteea held on November .lgy 1957, as submitted be approved. The motion was voted upon by acclamation. Wheraunon the Prosidont declared the motion carried and the minutes apnrov®d, It was roved by Trustee Patser and seconded by Trustee Angelotti that the following notice be placed in the "41NitP^S" Book, : "For want of a Quorum the Regular Meeting of the President and Board of Trustessr of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, was not held on November 25, 1957," The motion was voted upon by acclamation. ScharringhauuseYn, Chairman of the Fire & Police Corarittee, reported progress on the forming of a Safety Committee for the Villas, Edward Clifford, Police Chief also worked with the Committee relative to the Safety Committee and the following; men u62.e selected: Francis Walsh 72 Forest Lane Dorris Weiner 70 Evergreen Street Eduard Donske - 5 Oakwood Drive Joseph Finkler - 96 Ridgewood Road Kenneth Worsts 56 Woodcrest Lane 1 Leonard A. Scharr Inghausez, Chairman of the Fire & Police Committee, reported the results of several meetings of this cosmittee and advised the President j and Board of Trustoes of the veriouz ne3ceesary equipment needed for the Police Department. A discussion followed. A raodicn comas made by Trustee Burke, Jr. , and seconded by Trustee Grindel authorizing Leonard A. Scharrineauaen to proceed With the purchase 1 _ • I of a Police Squad Car, at a cost not to ©=eed 12,500,00, aftor receiving.bids, The President asked that the roll be called on the motion end upon the roll being called the following Trustees ansverad "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhauson; "NAYO: None. hereupon the President declared the motion carried. A motion was made by Trustee Patzor and seconded by Trustee Burke,Jr., that Loonard A. Scharringhausen, Chairman of the Fire & Police Co=ittee be. authorised to enter into an agreement with the Coot: County Police Chief's office for a two-way radio connection with the 7111age of Elk Grove Village, The I President asked that the roll be called on the motion and upon the roll beaLg called the following Trustees answered "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen; ,NAY": None. haroupon the President l declared the motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Carroll that Edvard Clifford, Police Chief, be authorized to procure 20 "STOP" signs. Tine President asked that the roll be called on the motion and upon the roll being called the following Trustees answered "ATE4: Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindol, Patzer and Scharringhausen; "NAY": None. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried. Morgan P. Burke, Jr., Chairman of the Judiciary & Building Committee, reported on and presented to the Village Board the Electric Service Contract Rate 23 for the Street-lighting System. Mr. Frank Opeka, Attorney for the Village reviewed this contract and approved same. l; It vas moved by Truete® Burke, Jr., and seconded by Trustee Grindel that the President andVillrage Clerk be authorized to execute, on behalf of the Village -the contract between the Village and Public Service Company, Division of Commonwealth .Edison Company, said contract being Electric Service Contract Eat® 23. The President asked that the roll be called an the motion and unon the roll being called the following Trusteec anavered "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Patser and Scharringhausen; "NAY": ' None. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried. ! It was moved by Trustes Patzer and seconded by Truetee Grindel that Resolution No. 9-57, a resolution designating that tho depositary for the Village Funds be the Des Plaines National Bank, be passed and approved. The President asked that the roll be called on the motion and upon the roll being called the following Trustees answered "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, ,I Grindel, Patzer and Scharringbausen; "NAY": None. Whersunon the President declared the motion carried. The Village Clerk read a letter, dated November 27, 1957 received from the Metronolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, with reference to approval of the enlarged Savage Lagoon. This Drill be attached to and become a part of Metronolitan Sanitary District Sever Permit No. 1957472. The Village Clerk also advised receipt of copies of the following from the ! Department of Public Health, State of Illinois, Division of Sanitary Engineering, Springfield, Illinois, dated November 20, 1957, addressed to the Elk Grove Water and Sever Company, Inc., : Elk Grove m Water a Pironosed Approval No. 656 v 1957 Water - Proposed Improved - Approval No. 657 m 1957 Water - Proposed Supplemental Approval No. 1,72, 1957 ! The above approvals to be placed in the Village File. The Village Clerk also advised receipt of three notices of Zoning; Notices from the Cook County Zoning, Board of Appeals, which were turned over to Jack C. Michala, Chairman of the Village of Falk Grove Zoning Board of Appeals, It was moven by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Grindal that this meeting, be adjourned to Monday, D©cemoer 16, 1957 at WO P.14. The motion was voted tenon by acclamation. Whereupon the President declared the ! motion carried and the meeting adjourned to Monday, December 36,. 1957 at 9s00 P.H. I C .
