MINUTTES OF A REGULAR 10ETING OF THE PRESIDE' AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGB OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE. ILLINOIS, HELD ON, JULY 29, 1959. Pbossident Charles A. Hadlmair called the meeting to order at 9:30 P,M. at the Ira L. Rnnloy School. In said Village and directed bine Village Clerk to call the roll. Upon the roll being called, the following Trustees answered sPRESENn'O: Frank R. A.ngalo-ti, Morgan P. Burks, Jr., Jamee L. Ca_rrol.l, Laurence F, Gr4ndel, Roger J. Patser and Leonard A. Scharringhauson; None, Also present at this meeting: Frank M', Opeka,, Village Attorney; Edward Clifford, Police Chief; J€ck Michala, Chairman of the Zon4Board of Appeal.-. George Scharringhauscen, Village Treasurer; Frank Scharringha.usen, Acting Building Superintendent of the Village; Edward J. McCabe, representing DeSoto B. McCabe & Associates, Engineers for the VillZsge; W11112m N, Glass, Police Magistrate; 3'rank Crosson and Even Stebbins of Centex Construction Co., Inc.; Marshall Bonnett and Ho-ward Krafaur of Bennett & Kahnveilar; representatives of the schools and utilities; John Carrie, representing the Elk Grove Herald, and approximately 500 residents of the Village of Elk Grove. It ms moved by Trustee Sehmrringhatseen and seconded by Trustee Grindel that the Minutes of a Regular Meeting of the PS asident and Board of Trustees held on July 14, 1959, as submitted, be approved. The mob5on was voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried and tho Minutes approved. Jack Michala, Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals, gave a verbal deport to the President and Board of Trustees regarding a County Hearing that was hold concerning a 40 acs e plot of ,x ouad on Elmhurst Road and Touhy Avenue (within 1-1/2 miles of the Village); -shish 40 acres the Standard Oil Compa y desires to re=zone to industrial. Jack Michala said that representatives of the Standard Oil Company were present at the hearing and also the School Board of the Village of Elk Grove Village was represented. He said all of the oil company's tanks have paused carious tests satisfactorily, all pipes in the area will be piped In, and there will be no odors present in the Village from the oil company. rack Michyla stated that the Boar- d of Trarteee should vote on the Standard Oil matter and 6end- recor-mendations to the Count; Zoning Board within 10 days from the 24th of July. Jack hicha,l.a said that Dee Plaines objected to the oil cow using thv plot of ground because there would be as increase in truck traffic throve Des Plaines. The representatives of the School Board of the Village of Elk Grove did not object to the land being used by Standard Oil Company as they would rather saes this land used by Standard Oil than for a trailer park. It :gas moved by Trustee Buzrlke, Jr. and seconded by Truatee Patzer that the Pillage of Elk Grover Village offer no objection to. nhe rezoning of the 40 &crag located on the northeast corner of Elmhrst Road and Touhy Avonua in Elk Grove Township, to be eased by the Standard Oil Company. The motion Eras voted ,pop. by aceltion. Yheresupon the Pr©sidezit declared tbAD motion carried. Trustee Burks, Jr., presented a proposed ordinance to the President and Board of Trusteea; the ordinance amending sections 7 and 17 of ARTICLE 3_a of Ordinance Ifo. 39 as amended by Ordinance No. 65. It was roved by Trustee BurkO, Jr. and seconded by Trustee AM- alotti that; Ordinance Noo 69 13AN ORDIIWICE amending sections 7 and 17 of ARTICLE 3A of Ordinance No. 39 as amended by Ordinance No. 65." be adopted. The President slaked that the roll be called for a vote on the motion and upon the roll beirig called, the following Trustess voted 'AYE": Angelotti, Burker, Jr,, Carroll,. Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen; "NAY": Nore.
