Trustee Carroll presented seven invoices" to be approved for payment. Total mount $180.27. Whereupon the Presideat de- clared tho motion carried. r o 4/29/59 l It was moved by Trustee Burke, Jr. and seconded by Trustee Pause that an invoice received from L. A. Scharringhausen Material Company dated 4/26/51 for snow plowing in the Village from 12/31/57 to 2/2/58 in the amount of $575000 be approved for payment. The President asked that the roll be called on the notion and upon the roll being called, the following Trustees answered "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Patser and Scharringhousen; "NAY": None. Whereupon the Precident declared the motion carried. Laurence Grindel, Chairman of Streets and Severe Committee, reported that only one bid had been received for the street lights in the Village and that the bid received, looked reasonable. He will write letters to three other companies requesting them to get their bids in before May 9, 19580 Police Chief Clifford reported that the papors had been sent in for the radio in the squad car, however, he has not received a reply. Leonard A. Scharringhausen, Chairman of the Fire and Police Committee, reported that he has received several quotations on the fire engine for the Village and that the Fire and Police Committee is studying the purchase of one. Morgan P. Burke, Jr. introduced Frank Scharringhausen, Acting Building Super- intendent of the Village of Elk Grove Village, to the residents present at the Meeting. Morgan Burkeo Jr„ Chairman of Judiciary and Building Committee, reported pro- gress on issuing Building Permits, President Hodlmair then asked Frank Opeks to assist the Chairman of.the Finance Committee, James L. Carroll, with setting up a budget for the village and also looking into the matter of securing an auditor for the Village, Mr. Opeka stated that anyone interested in the position of auditor for the Village, should submit s proposal and that the person hired should be someone familiar with municipal accounting. The Village Clerk presented a proposed ordinance to the President and Board of Trusteed entitled "ADT ORDINkNCH establishing official time". . It vias moved by Trustee Scharringhausen and seconded by Trustee Grindel that Ordinance No. 56 entitled "AN OBDIUNCE establishing official time", be adopted. The President asked that the roll be called for a vote on the motion and upon the roll being callsd, the following Trustees voted "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Patser and Schaarrirghiueen; "AAY"a None. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the ordinance passed and approved same in open meeting by affixing his signature thereto. The Village Clerk read a letter from the Illinois Division of Highways, dated April 22, 1958, and signed by R. R. Bartelsmeysr, Chief Highway Engineer, acknowledging receipt of copies of docums nts relative to the Improvement of Oakton Street, from Arlington Heights Road to Tonne Hood, in Elk Grove Village. This letter was placed in the Villago Clerk°a files. Mr. Opeks stated that this letter indicated that thore world be action taken on Oakton Street quickly novo The Village Clark pr®sensed Permit leo. 1955-88 dated April 24, 1958,. from Te Sanitary District of Greator Chicago covering OAkton Street Higgins Road Commercial. It was moved by Trustee Grindel and seconded by Trustee Carroll that the President of Elk Grove Village be authorized to execute The Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago Permit No. 1958=88 covering Oakton Street Higgins Road Commercial, The motion was voted upon by acclamation.
