Hodlaylir called the neetlrg to order at 9:20 P.M. at the Ira L, Rupley School in said Village and directed the Village Clerk to call the roll, Upon the roll being called the followii:g Trustees answered OPRESENT": Frank R. Angelotti, Morgan P, Burke, Jro, James L. Carroll. Laurence F. Grindel and Leonard A. Scharringhausen; "AB SEWS- Roger J. Patzer. Also present at this meeting: Eduard Clifford, Police Chief; Jack G. Michala, Secretary of the_Zoning Commission; and residents of the Village of Elk Grove Village, i It was moved by Trustee Grindel and seconded by Trustee Carroll that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on January 13, 1958. as submitted be approved. The motion was voted upon by I acclamation. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the i minutes approved,. A letter of transmittal of Plan Commission Report from Jack C. Hiehala, Secretary of Plan Commission of the Village of Rlk Grove Village. dated Janu- ary 27, 19580 was received and read by the Village Clerk regarding rezoning of property located at the southeast corner of Devon Avenue and Wood Dale Road, wherein the Plan Commission recommends that this rezoning be rejected for the following reasons: 1, Commercial coning at this corner would endanger the health and welfare of our children, 2. Commercial coning at this corner would cause excessive traffic i congestion further endangering the welfare of our children, It was moved by Trustee Burks, -Jr., and seconded by Trustee Carroll] that the rezoning of approximately 1-3/4 acres, from Rea single family resideni to Bml local retail district, located at the southeast corner of Devon Avenue and Mood Dale Road, be referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, The motion was voted upon by acclamation. Whereby the President declared the motion carried, James L. Carroll. Chairman of Finance Committee, reported on progress of his Committee and advised the Board that he is arranging a meeting with members, .Frank R. Angelotti and Morgan P. Burke. Jr.. to study the problems of income for the Village with regard to taxation (real estate tax, vehicle tax, etc,) � It was moved by Trustee Seharringhausen and seconded by Trustee Aug elotti that $5.00 a meeting be paid for Janitor service for cleaning up after every meeting, The President asked that the roll be called for a vote I on the motion and upon the roll being called the following Trustees voted "AYR*: Angelotti. Burke. Jr., Carroll, Grindel and Scharringhausen; ONLY": None. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried, Trustee Scharringhausen. Chairman of Fire and Police Committee, brought up for discussion the problem of civilian defense. The civilian defense (a Stat( operation) will pay one-half (1/2) of all costs incurred for defense equipmsn� for the Village.
