OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS, HRLD ON JANUARY 13, 1958. I President Charles A. Hodlmir called the meoting to order at 8215 P,M- at the Ira L. Rupley School in said Village and directed the Village Clerk to call the roll. Upon the roll being called the following Trustees answered "PRRSFST23: Frank R, Anp,elotti, Morgan P, Burka, Jr., Jsmea L. Carroll, Laurence F. (',rindel, Roger J. Pataer and Leonard A. Scharringhausen; "ABSY. P: None, Aloo prevent at this mestinga George Scharringhausen, Jr., Village Treasurer; William N. Glab, Police Magistrate; Jark C. Michala, Secretarn of the Zoning Comission; Edgard Clifford, Police Chief; Jack Hwtin of the Elk Grove Herald; and residents of the Pillage of Elk Grove Village. It was moved by Trustee Burke, Jr., and seconded by Trustee Scharringhausen that the minutes of the Regular Meeting, of the. Board of Trustees held on December 9, 1957 and the minutes of the Adjourned Meeting held on December 16, 19Z, as submitted be approved. The motion was voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried and the minutes approved. ' It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Grindel that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees held on ?)ecember 23. 1957, as submitted be approved. The notion me voted upon by I acclamation, Whereupon the PPosident declared the notion carried and-the minutes approved. A letter of transmittal of an ordinance dated January 3, 1958, was received from the Zoning 'Board of Appeals of the Village of Eltc Grove recomendinP the i reclassification from "Rel Tvdhty Thousand Square Foot Single Family Thrilling. District" (so classified upon annexation) to "B01 Business District". The property in question is located atrthe Southeast corner of Higgins Road and Arlington Heights Road and was formerly occupied as a tavern and previous to ` annexation to the Pillage vas coned as "Bnl Business" under the County zoning j Ordinance. It was moved by Trustee Eurke, Jr., and seconded by Trustee Grindel that Ordinance No, 45 "AN CRDIAAftrs amending the Village of Flk Grove ^illage i Zoning Ordinance" be adopted. The President aekeL4 that the roll be called for a vote on the motion and upon the roll beim; called the follovinp Trustees voted "AYE"s Angelotti, Burke, Jr., Carroll, Grindel, Pataer and Scharringhausen; "NAY": Bone. Whereupon the President declared the motion mfa carried end the ordinance pass®d and approved eein open tweeting by affixing his signature thereto. Leonard A. Schsrringhausen, Chairman of the Fire & Police Committee, reported tbii Ford Police Car will be delivered Tuesday, January 11t, 1958. Coat of car t10995.50. Edward Clifford, Police Chief, reported ,prograss of the Safety Comikittee. A meeting of the Safety Committee will be hold Tuesday, January 24, 1958. Morkan P. Burke, Jr., Chairman of the Judiciary and BuildlnmT Committee, reported progress of this committee, He also reported receipt of a total of $91,50 for nuilding Permits for Patio rhelosures.- i Laurence F. 4rindel, Chairman of the Streets.& Sdvers Committee, reported. on I the progress of the trenching for the streat lights, will report farther at the nest meeting,. f� I Roger J, PatzQr, Chairman of the Water Coun ittee, proposed an ordinance be prepared that any engineering, plans for work within the Village, prepared by I Engineers other than the Engineers for the Village, be reviewad by the Maginsero for the Village to insure conformance with the master plans for Improvements within the Village, and further proposed a reviewing fee of I 1 0 1/13/59 I two and one-half percent -(2-1/2%) of the cost of construction be escrowed with the Village, tvo percent (21%) of the fee to be paid to the Engineers for the Village and one-balf percent (1/2j) of the fee to be retained by theVillags, President Hodlmair asked that this .be scheduled for the next Village Meeting, The Village Clerk read a letter dated January 6, 1959, from Mr, R, Gearen of the Gladridge Taxi Company of Franklin Parr, Illinois, requesting information regarding a Cab License for earring the Village of Elk Grove with taxi Carrico. President Hodlmair asked that this be referred to the Village Attorney, The Village Clerk advised the President and Board of Trustees of an inquiry received by telephone fron Mr, uesley H. Kentsal regitrding a License for a Liquor Store in the proposed Shopping Center, President Hodlmair asked that this be och®daled for the next Village Meeting, The Village Clerk advised the President and Board of Trustees of an inquiry received by telephone from Mrs. Alice L. Shearer, owner of ad Host®ss Service, requesting, permission to service the Village of Elk Groove, and also requested either a letter of authorisation or pormission to purchase a business licaues. President Hodlmir referred this to Pdvard Clifford, Police Chief, A copy of an Access Permit from the States of Illinois Department of Public Works and Buildings, Division of Hirhimys, iamwd, to Skokie Valley Asphalt Co., Inc,, vas received by the Village Clerk and presented to the President and I Board of Trustees, This was placed in the Village file, i It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Grindel I that thin meeting adjourn.
