President Charles A. Hodlmair 'called the meeting to order at 5:15 P.M. at the
Ira L. Rupley School in said Village and directed the Village Clerk to call
the roll.
Upon the roll being called the following Trustees answered '"PRESEW: II Morgan P.

President Hodlmair directed the Village Clerk to read the following appoint=
meats to the Standing Committees:

It was moved by Trustee Scharringhausen and seconded by Trustee
i Carroll that the Village Board concur in the designated appointments. The.
President asked that the roll be called on the motion and anon the roll

i The Village Clerk presented and read a proposed ordinz-mce entitled, "_N
ORDIN-0 E vacating part of Old Busse Road in the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Illinois."
The Village Clerk read letter dated June 15, 1959, from Mr. Even :Stebbins,
Real Estate Manager of Centex Construction Company, Inc., enclosing check in
the amount of $2,500.00 payable to the Village of Elk Grove Village. for
the vacation of part of Old Busse Road.
It was moved. by Trustee Young and seconded by Trustee Carroll that
Ordinance No. 101, "AN ORDINANCE vacating Fart of Old Busse Road in the
Village of Elk Grove Village. .Illinois, " be adopted. The President asked
that the roll be called on the motion and upon the roll being called the
following Trustees voted "AYE:" Burke, Carroll, Scharringhausen, Smith, and
1 Young; "NAY:" None; "ABSENT:" Hartshorn. Thereupon the President declaring
that the ordinance having received -the votes of three-fourts of all trustees
authorized to be elected, declared said motion carried and the ordinance
adopted and did thereupon approve same in open meeting by affixing his signa-
ture thereto.

Trustee Burke presented a. proposed ordinance entitled, "AF oRi)I.NAXCB amending
Section 2 of Article I of Ordinance No. 1 (kdministrative Ordinance)" providing
that there be but one meeting of the Village Board scheduled during the months of �
July and august. The ordinance as deferred until the ne:--t regular meeting, i
June 22, 1959• I
Trustee Smith submitted a deed received from -van Stebbins, :Real Estate Manager i
of Centex Construction Company, Inc. . deeding Lot -)312 (park site North of
Oakton Street) to the Village. Mr. Opeka turned same back to Mr. Smitb for �
correction to read "Village of Elk Grove Village, " rather than "Village of
Elk Grove," before further action could be taken. j
Trustee Scharringhausen submitted to Mr. Opeka a Civil Defense Ordinance
prepared by the Illinois Municipality League, for Mr. Opeka to review ind
report on at the regular meeting scheduled for June 22, 1959
The Village Clerk read correspondence to and from Mr. Walter T. Popjoy, Secretary,
Zoning Board of Appeals, regarding Hppepd #2037, Thomas C. Zolik, 'Petitioner.
The Village filed objections to the rezoning based on (1) insufficient se?.mge
and draindge facilities, and (2) no provisions for `d.eraate speed limit signs,
this property being in the immediate vicinity of school property.
The President introduced Air. James Gibson, representing the Zoning Board of
Appeals. Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. President Flodlmair then
stepped down and turned the gavel over. to Trustee Scharringhausen during the
course of the following subject.
The Village Clerk read a letter From the Zoning Board of Appeals, Village of
Elk Grove Village. Illinois, sated June 13, 1999, recommending acceptance of
the C. A. Eodlmair Subdivision rezoning from R-1 (Twenty Thousand Single
Family Duelling District) to that of R-3 (Six Thousand Single Family Dwelling
District) 4th Unovision for conformity to the existing Village standards.
The Village Clerk read a letter from the Plan Commission, Village of Elk Grove
Village, Illinois, dated June 14, 1959, recommending acceptance of the C. A.
Hodlmair subdivision.. -
It was moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Ta-ustee Carrell that
i the Village accept the recommendation of the .zoning Board of -Appeals. The
motion was voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon Trustee Scharringhausen de-
clared the motion a cried.
i The Village Clerk preeented a proposed ordinance entitled "AN ORDULANCE
amending the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance."
It was moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Smith that
i Ordinance No. 102, "AN ORDINANCE .mending the Elk Grove Village Zoning
Ordinance, " -be adopted. Trustee Scharringhausen asked that the roll be
called and upon the roll being called the following Trustees voted "AYE:"
Burke, Carroll. Schsrringhausen, Smith,. and Young; INPY:" None; ".ABS:EPT:"
Hartshorn. Thereupon Trustee Scharringhausen declaring that the ordinance
-having received the votes of three-fourths of all trustees authorized to be
elected, declared said motion carried and the ordinance adopted.
It was moved by Trustee Berke and seconded by Trustee Scha.rringhaasen
j that the Village concur in the report of the Plan Commission and authorize
the President and Clerk to exec-ate plat of subdivision described as fcllovls:

Trustee Scharringhausen asked that the roll be called on the motion and upon

upon Trustee Scharringhausen declared the rsotion carried.

Trustee Scharringhausen then stepped dour aund President Hodlmalr resumed the I
chair and took the gavel. President Hod?mair then ap oved Ordinance X102
by affixing his signature thereto.

The Village Clerk read a letter from firs. John C. Heiberger, Secretary of the
Ways and Pdeans Committee of the Elk Grove Village Junior Woam' s Club, re- �
westing a permit to operate a. corn concession.
It vas moved by Trustee Scharringhause.n and seconded by Trustee I
Smith that the Village grant permission for the Elk Grove Village Junior
=4oman's Club to operate a corn concession on Higgi..ns Road at the entrance `
to the parking lot, -from July 15 to September 15. having already received
permission from Centel Construction Company, Inc. to use their property.
The motion was voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President declared I
the motion carried.
It %,ms moved by Trustee Young and seconded by Trustee Burke that
the Village engage the services of S & S �aintenance Compvaaty on July 2 and 3
for the purpoees of cleaning all blacktopped streets within the Village, at
a cost of $200.00. The President asked that the roll be called on the mo-
tion and upon the roll being called the following Trustees voted "AYE0
Burke, Carroll, Scharringh4usen, Smith, and Young; "HAY:" ,done; 11A.BS1 :1'
Hartshoru. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried.
Trustee Smith then introduced Mrs. Hobert Fleming, Chairoar, of theLibrary
Committee. Junior Woman' s Club, who announced that members of the Junior '
Woman's Club offered to serve as judges gratis, and that the Junior Woman's
Club offered to be held res_aonsible for all election supplies, publicdtion
of notices, etc. Ath regard to the July 18 election, only ::pith the under-
standing that the Library was the sole issue to be determined. ?yrs. Fleming
mmounced that these services :could not be offered gratis in the event
i another issue (Park Program) were to be added to the ballot. The Natter
I ,vas referred' back to Trustee Smith.
Trustee Young then introduced Mra. James Shimeall. who voiced objections to
alleged gambling devices in operation during the Jaycees Peony Pageant
Carnival.
Trustee Carroll presented 3 invoices, amounting to a total of $179. 5, to
be approved for payment.

It eras moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Young that
j the following invoices be approved for payment:
Morava Stationers 6/9/59 - Office Supplies for Bldg. Dept. $11.16
Paddock Publications. Inc. 6/10/59 - 2H envelopes printed 22.75
A & B Electric 5/30/59 - Electrical labor and material
installed at Police Station as directed 145.54
$179.45

The Tillage clerk reported Sales Tax for ;=arch amounted to $1790".84 and motor
Fuel Tag for May amounted to $1493.80.

I-t was moved by Trustee Young and .seconded by Trustee Carroll
that the meeting adjourn. The motion Las voted upon by acclamation. Where-
upon the President declared the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at
