March•31, 1959; ".Pursuant to a request from Charles; A. Hodlmair, Village
President, you are. hereby notified of a Special Mee£ing 'to be 'held. at the
Ira-L.' Rupley .School on Monday, April 6, 1959, at 7:00 P.K.—for the purpose
of�cons"i:dera tion of -the following matters:: Tonne Road Improvement's; 'Expenses
for`t2ie; President; Other matters relative to the Village .that 'may .properly �
come before the Board."

President Hodlmair called the meeting to order at 7:10 F.M. at,, the Ira :i,..
Fuipley School- in said Village. The President directed the Village :Clerk. td
call the roll'.
U; on:the roll being called the following Trustees-answered "PR.EShI;T": Fra.nk R.
Angelotti, Morgan P. Burke, James L. Carroll., Laurence F. Gri.ndel,' _Roger J.
Patzer, Leonard. A- Scharringhausen; "ABSEi�LT": None.
Frank M. Opeka, Attorney for the Village, eras also present at this meeting.
'rhe Village Clerk read a letter from the Young Men'-s Christiasi Association
of-'Metropolitan Chicago .dated March 30, 1959, and signed by i'-Ii. Charles McClellan.
The letter. .xas.a request for permission to proceed with a campaign to raise money
for.• the:.-new Y.M.C.A building.
,. „ I•t •was moved,.by 'trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Carroll, that the j
request of the Y-Y!-X.A*. for a drive to.raise funds from April 6 to April 30 be
granted:. The motion was. voted, upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President
declared -the motion carried.
The-Village -Clerk read a, letter from the High-Line. Committee 'regarding' the proposed
:dedication_ "of,-,the 200 'foot. right-of-way. on Tonne-Road, suo.7aitted` by; tide,Public
Service Company of- Northern Illinois.- ,The .C6minittee unanimously. agrees ,,that .the.
dedicaUion o'f' the additional right-of-gray should be accepted and per.mis'sbn. granted
for'the `constr`uction� of- the four lane, divided highway.
It was moved by Trustee' Seharringhausen and•seconded:by.. Trustee• Carroll
-that the. Plat of Dedication of the '200 foot right-of way of Tonne. Road be=approved
and, accepted. -The President 'asked trat the roll be called on.the motion, and
upon the roll -being called .the following; Tr."Ustees voted "LYE": Angelotti-; iburke,.
Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen; 11,14AY": 'None. Whereupon the President
declared the, motion carried.
A Petition for 'arinexation received by the Village Clerk on April 6, 1959, was
pre sented -and read to the. President and Board of Trustees.: Now come the- petitioners
ROBERT. HOLZHAUSER.and 'KATHERINE HOLZHkUS&H, his wife, and represents unto the
corporate• authorities of 'the VillageooP Elk Grove Village,. Cook County, .Illinois,
that they are°Ythe sole owners of, record of the. tract, of land and territory'here-
inafter .described, 'located in the County of Cook and.'State of Illinois, 'arid'that
they are persons, occupying said-.premises and- the -only electors residing t2 e_r'eon:

The Village Clerk presented and read a proposed ordinance entiitled, "A€d (YRDIMANCE
annexing lands situated at Tonne Road and Devon Avenue". �

it was moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Scharringhau en
that Ordinance No. 94, HAN ORDENANCE annexing lands sitdated at Tonne Roao'.and
Devon Avenuen, be adopted. The President asked that the roll be called ;on the
notion, and upon the roll being called .the following Trustees vote d -"AYEn'..
Angelotti, Burke.. -Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen; WAY" None.
Whereupon the President declaring that the ordinance having received'the. votes
of tiro-thirds of the corporate authorities, declared said motion carried 'and i
the ordinance passed.
The Village Clerk presented and read a proposed ordinance entitled, tcN ORDINiMCE
annexing part' of Tonne Road and Devon Avenue dedicated for streetpiiposesn.

It was moved by Trustee Carroll and seconded by 'Trustee Burke that
Ordinance. No.. 95, "AN ORHUNCE annexing part ofTonne Road and Devon avenue
dedicated for street purposes", be adopted. The President asked that the roll
be called on the :motion and upon the roll being called the following Trustees
voted '!AYE": Angelotti, Burke,. Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and. Scharringhdusen: i

received the votes of tiro-thirds of the corporate authorities, declared:'said
motion carried and- the ordinance passed.

It was moved by Trustee Patzer and seconded by Trustee iri.ndel. that .
the Village Attorney be authorized to prepare Plats of Annexation for the
prop&rties covered in Ordinances 94 and 95• The President asked that the roll
be called on the motion, and upon the. roll being called the following Trustees
voted "AYE": Angelotti, Burke, Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen;
n::AYn: None. :hereupon the President declared the motion carred..
It was moved by Trustee Carroll and seconded by Trustee Patzer that �
the Village Attorney be authorized to prepare an ordinance requesting the County
to takeover Tonne Road for construction and maintenance. The President asked
that the roll be called on the motion and upon the roll being called the.
following Trustees voted "AYE": A.ngelotti; Burke, Carroll, Grindel, Pztzer ,. and
Scharringhausen; "FAY": Atone. Whereupon the President declared the. motion .
carried.
It was moved•by Trustee Scharringhausen and seconded by Trustee Burke
that the Village Attorney be authorized to. prepare a contract between the Village
.and Commonwealth EdiAh Company with respect-to the payment for improvements to
be made on Tonne Road The President asked that the roll be calie'd on the motion
and upon the roll being called the following Trustees voted IiAYE": Angelotti., B
Burke, Carroll, Grindel, 'Patzer and Scharringhausen; "',U.Y": Axone. Whereupon
the President declared the motion carried.

A discussion followed regarding expenses for the President. This will be dis-
cussed funder at the next meeting.
It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Grindel
that the meeting adjourn. The notion. Was voted upon by acclama�ion. thereupon
the President declared the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:00.P-M..
