Pursuant to a request by President. 'H d1mair, -the'follo"xg notice was delivered
February 24. 1959: "Pursuant to a,..request from Charles A. Hodlmair, Village
President you are hereby notified of a Special testing to be held at the Ira L.
Rupley School on Friday. Febr*ry 27, 1959, at 700 P.M.. for the purpose of
considering the following matters;: An- Ordinance licensing and regulating Taxi
Cabs; disconnection of sewage lagoon site;. and temporary appointment to. fill
the position of Engineer for the Village or Village Engineer."
President Hodlmair called the meeting to order at 7:00 P,11* at the Ira L. Rppley
School in skid Village. President Hodlasir then state& that he. had to leave the
:meeting.
Upon the roll being called the following answered "PRESM, ": Morgan P. Burke,
James L. Carroll, Lanrence F. Grinder, Roger J. Patzer, Leonard A. S sea;
"ABSENT" Frank R. Angelotti.
Frank M. Opeka, Attorney for the Village, was also present, at this meeting.
It was moved by Trustee Carroll and seconded by Trustee Burke that �
Roger J. Patzer be appointed Village President Pro Tem of' this meeting dae,to the
absence of Charles A. Hodlmair, President. Upon the .roll being called the
following Trustees voted "AYE":Burke, Carroll, Grind.el, Patzer, and
Scharringhausen; "BAY": Hone; *ABSEH`i8: Angelotti. Whereupon the Village Clerk
declared the motion carried.
Trustee Burke presented and read a proposed ordinance entitled,: OAN ORD.INUM
licensing and regulating Taxi Cabs." A general -discussion ,followed,. whereby the
following changes were made in the proposed ordinance.:
Section 4: Insert the annual fee for such .license $25.00 and $15.00
for eaah taxi cab operating..
Section 12: Strike out the word "following", strike out "hereby" and
insert "to be", strike out":" and add "are those which may
from time to time be determined by the President and Board
of Trustees".
Trustee Angelotti arrived at 7:10 P.M-
It was moved by Trustee Scharringhansen and seconded by Trustee Carroll
that Ordinance No, 900 "Att ORi)IDAHCE licensing and regulating Tali Gabs", be
.passed and approved. The President Pro Tem asked that the roll be_ calied on the j
motion, and upon the roll being called the following Trust$es voted:UIE"-;
Angelotti, Burke, Carroll, Grindel,. Pat$er, and Chau en; "NAYV: None.
thereupon the President Pro Tera declared the motion carried.* "

It was moved by .Trustee Scharringhausen and seconded by Trustee Grindsl
that Ordinance No. 91, 'PAN ORDINANCE repealing Ordinance No. 22"., be adopte$..
The President .Pro Tem asked that the roll be called on the notion,, and tin the
roll being called the following Trustees voted "AYNy: Angelotti, Bye, Carroll,, i
Grindel, Patzer and Schasringhausen; "HAY"i, None. Whersupon the President..
Tem declared the motion carried.
A discussion followed regarding the appoingment of a Village Engineer or Engineer
for the Village.
It was moved by Trustee Carroll,, and seconded by Trustee GriIdsl that
the question of the Engineer for the Village be referred back to the Board' of
Trustees as a Coffimittee-of-the-Whole for further study. The motion was vote& vpon j
by acclamation. Whereupon the President Pro Tem declared the motion carried.
Trustee Patser stated that he believed that Ordinan ce 'No.. 51, "AN OBDZNA�AHCE j
pertaining to cozistruction of public improvements by private contract" should
not -be left on the books.

It was moved by Trustee Patzer and seconded by Trustee- Burke that the

that one taxicab license be issued for the use of not to exceed two taxi cabs
upon proper application after the effective date of Ordinance Ho. 50. The
President Pro Tem asked that the roll be called on .the motion,, and upon the. roil
being called the following Trustees voted *AYE": Angelotti,: Burke, Garrolil.
Grindel, 'Patzer and Scharringhausen; MY": Bone. Whereupon the President Pro
Tem declared the motion carried:
It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Carroll
that the meeting adjourn. The motion was voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon
the President Pro Tem declared the motion carried and the meeting regularly
adjourned. The meeting adjourned at 7:4o P.m.
