OF ELK GROVE VT LArjEi, IT -,,r il-IC HELD ON JA--iUA:-,Y 12, 19519. President Charles A. Hodimair called the meeting to order at 8:10 P.'.'-N. at the Ira L. Rupley School in said Village and. directed the. Village Clerk to call the roll. Upon the roll being called, the following Trustees answered Frank R. Angelotti, Morgan P. Burke, James L. Carroll, Laurence !F. Grindel,. Roger J. P.atzer, and Leonard A. Scharringhausen; "ABSE. T": None. Also present at this meeting: Frani P1. Opeka, Attorney for the Village; Edivard --lifford, "ol-' Michala, Secretar of the 1-11an Commission; Frank .0 - i ice Chief; jack I, L -Y Scharringhausen, Acting Building Superifitendent of t'he bill Dulaney, r-presenting the SLK Grove Herald; arid residents of the Village of Elk. Grove Village. It was moved by Trustee Scharringhausen anal seconded by Trustee Patzer that the Minutes of a Regular IMeeting of the 'Preside-­Ei- and Board of Trustees held December 22, 1958 and the 'Linu-c-es of ai-1 Adjourned Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees held December 29, 1958, as submitted, be , approved. The motion was voted. upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President, declared the motion carried. Jack Michala, Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals,, reported that he had received a County Zoning Legal 'Notice of Public Hearing in Elk Grove Tow ship 59 -.3 to be held on January 15, 19 at 5:00 P.M. at ift. Frostect Village Hall Mt. Prospect, Illinois. The property involved consists of approximately 1 1/2 acres, located on the northwest corner of Arlington I'leights Road and the I linois Toll Road in Elk Grove Township. The hearing is in regard to an amendment seeking to rezone the above property. It was moved by Trustee SctArrInghausen arid. seconded ky Trustee Burke that if the above letter is a township zoning request, jack Michala be author- ized to attend the Public Hearing, and the rezoning be approved. The motion was i: voted upon by acclamation. Whereupon the President declared the motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Seharringthausen that the Board of Trustees accept the recomrlendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village (Letter dated January 12, 1959) to adopt a proposed ordinance amending the Village Zoning 'Ordinance. The motion was voted upon by acclaination. Whereupon the Presid-e.-t declared the motion carried. It was moved by Trustee Burke and seconded by Trustee Grindel that Ordinance No. 86, "AN ORDIMANCE amending the Village of Elk Grove Zoning Ordi- nance.", be adopted. The President asked that the roll be called on the motion, and upon the roll. being called the following Trustees voted HAI-E11: Angelotti, Burke, Carroll, Grindel, Patzer and Scharringhausen; "KAY": None. The Village Clerk read the Treasurer's i'i-112.ncial Statement for the month of December, 1958, showing a cash balance on hand of 'N3)635.64 at January 1, 1959. The Village Clerk then read a letter from the State of _11-lin-o-is -Department of Revenue, Springfield, dated January 9, 1959, advising that Ylu-nicipal Tax' for tieVillage has been reported and collected forthe month of October and that the amount to be remitted 'to the Village is *946.06. This letter was placed in the Village Clerk's files. � 1. 1/121r'9 Trustee vrirdel, Chairman of the Street-s and Sewers Committee, gave a verbal report regarding the oxidation pond east of the Village. It was. moved by Trustee Grindel and seconded. by Trustee Patzer that the deposit of 612,000.00 made t; the Great ivortl,.e,—. Developu-,-rt Co. to guarantee the restoration of the oxidation pond be released. Trustee Burke presented a recapitulation of Building Perrinits issued during the month of December, i9 8, from: F. F. Scharringhausen. This report, was placed in the Village Clerk's files. The Village Cleric presented and. read a letter from James L. Carroll, Centex Construction Company, Inc., dated January 5, 1959, advising that three (3) sets of certified copies of *all recorded plans of subdivision with covenants ;were delivered td -the Village C1er:. :his letter was placed in the Vi?lage Clerk's files. It was moved by Trustee Burke and sedonded by 'Trustee Scharringhausen that Ordinance No. 87 "AN ORDIINANCE annexing land and territor; completely sur- rounded by the Village of Elk Grove Village.", be adopted. Mr. Opeka stated that a Village election will be held on April 21 to fill the vacancies left by three Trustees whose terms expire this year. In order for a person to Be a candidate ;e must submit a petition to the .'tillage Clerk. The ;. Petition ray be submit between January 26 and . a.rch 2, and they shall contain ss than 5;G* nor more than 8' .of the number of votes cast in the last ele:ctib'_ f' petition ,may not contain, miore than 25 signatures. Pres- ' ident Ho�air advised that the `tillage is in good financial c.onditi.o_, and is i operatiffithin the budget. Trustee aarringhauser., Chairman of the wire and. Police Co:2rittee, advised, that after t) meeting is adjourned, Mir. Yarnik of the. Franbee Kennels "in Orland :ark would sass the President and Board of Trustees and the residentspresent on the soba of training dogs to work with the Police throughout the Village. It was moved by Trustee Angelotti and seconded by Trustee Grindel that the mepc adjourn. The motion was voted upon by acclamation. .4hereupon the Presidedeclare(i the mieeting regularly adjourned.
