MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES
ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 09, 2008
(2008 TAX LEVY)
Mayor Craig B. Johnson called the meeting to order at 7 : 50 p.m.
in the Charles J. Zettek Municipal Building, 901 Wellington
Avenue, Elk Grove Village Illinois .
The following were present: Trustees Nancy J. Czarnik, Patton L.
Feichter, Jeffrey C. Franke, Samuel L. Lissner, James P. Petri
and Chris Prochno.- Also present were Village Manager, Raymond
R.Rummel, Village Attorney, George B. Knickerbocker and Village
Clerk Ann I . Walsh.
The Mayor called upon the Director of Finance, Christine Tromp.
Ms . Tromp stated the public hearing notice was published in the .
Daily Herald on December 1, 2008 in accordance with the Cook
County Truth in Taxation Act.
It was noted there was zero percent change for- the general
corporate, emergency management and debt service portion of the
levy, which is a $64 . 00 reduction. The total levy presented
increased by 2 . 6 percent, amounting to a little under
$17, 000, 000 .* The Director of Finance assured the audience that
the Village is financially strong.
The Finance Director noted the 2008 tax levy ordinance appeared
on the December 9, 2008 Consent Agenda as Item K.
There being no further questions from the Village Board or
members of the audience, Mayor Johnson adjourned the public
hearing at 7 : 59 p.m.
A copy of the transcript of proceedings is on file in the Village
Clerk' s Office.
