Fall Villa.aei
Upon making minor modifications to the newsletter, the consensus of the Committee was to
approve the Fall 2005 Villages- newsletter for distribution.
No Idling Zones
Trustee Lissner updated the Board on the July JPZ/Recycling & Solid Waste Committee. Upon
review, the School District, the Park District, and the local bus companies all have procedures in
place to minimize idling. It was the consensus of this meeting to start a campaign to get
residents and guests in Elk Grove to voluntarily choose to turn off their cars. Brochures and
signs will be created to educate people and they will be distributed to businesses, shopping
centers, the Post Office, and banks. It was the consensus of the Committee not to move forward
with a mandatory Idling Ordinance at this time.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
