Newsletter The Director of Health and Community Services explained that the newsletter will be funded by the S5,000.00 award that the Village won for the "Cans for Cash" recycling challenge. Upon making minor modifications to the newsletter, the consensus of the Committee was to approve the Recycling newsletter for distribution. Rain Barrels The Director of Health and Community Services updated the Committee on the status of the Rain Barrel Program. To date, over 400 residents have shown interest in the program. This quantity would require two (2) deliveries of 200 rain barrels. Upon hearing that a local business may be able to provide the rain barrels to citizens directly, the Board advised the Recycling and Waste Committee to pursue this topic further with a local vendor. It was the consensus of the Committee to reach out to interested residents and take formal action on this program at the April 14, 2009 Village Board meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m. c: Mayor & Board of Trustees, Village Manager, Deputy Village Manager, Assistant Village Manager Village Clerk, Department Heads, Village Attorney
