Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on January 23, 2007, this Executive Session
was called to consider a Personnel matter.

It was the consensus of the Mayor and Board that the negotiating team's response to the Union's
proposal was acceptable.
In addition, the Mayor and Board agreed that the negotiating team could use the Village's new
management compensation plan as a bargaining chip for the Fire Lieutenants. It was asked if the
Union would consider a 4 or 5 year agreement. The negotiating team indicated that they did not
seem inclined to accept a longer agreement, but that they would try to tie in additional funds for
longevity to obtain the extra years.
The meeting adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
