Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on March 20, 2007_this Executive Session was
called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager updated the Village Board regarding the status of the anniversary gift
cards. It was noted that the IRS views gift cards as cash, and as a result they must be taxed. The
Village Manager advised the Board that staff had located two vendors who could provide gifts
to'fit the Village's need. The two vendors were Best Buy and Coach. It was the consensus of
the Board to allow staff to move forward with using Best Buy and Coach as alternatives to gift
cards.
