PROCHNO Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on October 23, 2007_this Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: October 2008 Date of approval for release: 10/23/07 6:57 p.m. Personnel The Village Manager updated the Board on his proposal-to shift staff in Fleet Services in order to complete the installation of the Police Department laptop computers. Two staff members in Fleet Services are out on medical leave and the Northwest Central Dispatch Center has issued a Marche 1, 2008 deadline for equipment crossover in squad cars. The Village Manager proposed to hire 3 interns from local area tech schools: The interns would be hired at the same wage as the seasonal employees were paid last summer and take over much of the routine maintenance work done under Fleet Services. These positions will free up the Public Works mechanics to focus on the installation of the Police Department computers. This solution is more cost effective than outsourcing the installation. The consensus of the Board was to approve the 3 temporary positions until March 1, 2008. The meeting adjourned at 7:03 p.m.
