Pursuant.to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on August 21, 2007_this Executive Session was called to
consider a Personnel matter.

PERSONNEL
The Village Manager informed the Board that employee Bruce Barnett, who works in the
Engineering Department, will apply for a position on the Library Board of Directors as an elected
official. In years past, other employees have served on similar boards without incident. It has been
made clear to Mr. Barnett that his employment and responsibilities with the Village come first and
that no Library business may take place during his on-the job time with the Village.
