HomeMy WebLinkAboutFIRE & POLICE COMMISSION - 07/21/2009 - CORRESPONDENCE/ELIGIBILITY c: Village Clerk MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE HELD ON JULY 21, 2009 Chairman Shapiro called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Charles J. Zettek Building, 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village and noted for the record that the following were present: Chairman Alan J. Shapiro, DDS, and Secretary E. Butch Ehrke, and Commissioner Michael P. Kontek. It was moved by Commissioner Kontek and seconded by Commissioner Ehrke that the minutes of June 16, 2009 meeting be approved as submitted and that the Board dispense with the reading thereof. The motion was voted upon by acclamation whereupon Chairman Shapiro declared the motion carried. PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF INVOICES RECEIVE® AUG 2 5 2009 1. None VILLAGE CLERK'S OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE 1. Memo to Human Resources Director advising that Police Officer Bryan Lyp has successfully completed his probationary period and is hereby granted permanent employee status effective 6/20/2009. 2. Memo to Human Resources Director advising that Firefighters Liska, Petersen, Domin, Seegers, Melendy, Ritchie and Evert have successfully completed their probationary periods effective 6/23/2009, and are hereby granted permanent employee status. OLD BUSINESS 1. None NEW BUSINESS 1. Discuss scheduling of Fire Lieutenant Promotional Process Individual Oral Interviews. Minutes of the Regular Meeting July 21,2009 Pagel of 2 ELIGIBILITY LIST/HIRING STATUS 1. Police Officer—two vacancies on hold at this time. Twenty-seven names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on August 1, 2010. 2. Firefighter—no vacancies. Thirty-six names remain on the current eligibility list scheduled to expire on January 18, 2010 3. Police Sergeant Eligibility List —Ten names appear on the new eligibility list which will expire on February 4, 2012. 4. Fire Lieutenant List—Eligibility list expired on June 24, 2009. ADJOURNMENT It was moved by Commissioner Ehrke and seconded Commissioner Kontek that the meeting be adjourned.
