LITIGATION
The Mayor updated the Board on recent events at the Smoke Hub. The Liquor Commission
suspended the Business License of the Smoke Hub at 652 Meacham Road from Noon on Friday,
December 28, through Noon, on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. The owners of the establishment
consented to this penalty for selling alcohol to someone underage and also paid the $500 fine.
The Police Department continued to investigate activity at the Smoke Hub upon their reopening,
and last.week caught an underage person buying liquor using a fake Indiana driver's license. The
Police shared the news of this with the Smoke Hub and suggested that they request a second
form of identification on customers using an out of state license to purchase liquor.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
