Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: October 2008 Date of approval for release: . g. 79- 03/11/2008 6:40 p.m. PERSONNEL Trustee Feichter briefed the board on his Health Insurance Renewal Recommendation memorandum dated March 7. The recommendations are summarized as follows: 1. The Committee found the proposed premiums to the PPO Plan (0% change) and HMO Plan (5.7% increase) to be acceptable. These increases are far below the national average of 10.5%, and HMO increases are already included in the proposed budget. 2. The Committee found the proposed 3% increase on the HMO dental plan to be acceptable. 3. The Committee agreed that the high deductible PPO plan would be available to any employee seeking to save funds on the premium. 4. The committee is recommending that the lowest cost "HMO"plan be considered the Village's "Base Plan" for any Police Officer or Firefighter receiving a disability pension. This is the most fiscally responsible method for the Village,to address the State Law Court Action, which only pertains to sworn Police Officers and Firefighters. These items will be on the March 25 agenda. The consensus of the Village Board was to concur with the above recommendations. The meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
