Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on July 15, 2008, this Executive Session
was called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

LAND ACQUISITION
The Village Attorney mailed the owner of Firestone a Certified Letter regarding annexation. The
owner denied the letter. The attorney who represents the rural Fire Protection District spoke with
the owner of Firestone after he attended two (2) of the Fire Protection District meetings. The
Fire Protection District attorney expressed to the owners of Firestone that they should work with
the Village because he is surrounded on all sides. The Village continues to move forward with
the land acquisition regardless of his cooperation.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
