Low Cost Primary Medical Care Task Force Update The current proposal will be presented to the Chicago Community Trust for their review and funding. The Task. Force will split up funding with 42% going to the seven Northwest Townships and 58% to two townships and one town for the south suburbs. Tentatively the project will be funded at $2,000,000 for four years, giving them 1/2 million per year. Baxter Travenol has been approached for future funding. They have expressed interest in making this committment for the northwest suburbs. The project will have to find private funding if it is to continue in the future, because they do not plan on asking governmental agencies for total support. Because attendance is low during this time of year, the Health Department will promote this program in the media. Refuse Ordinance The Board discussed the possibility of passing an ordinance requiring screening around dumpsters in commercial areas. Other Villages have this ordinance and it has created many problems. The material used for screening has deteriorated and creates a greater problem than the refuse containers. The Health Department decided to treat each situation in- dividually and only require food service facilities to have their own dumpsters. The Health Department will review the situation with other Health Departments and determine if such an ordinance is necessary. .
