called to order by Dr. Kelly, senior Board member at 7:30 p.m. in
the Staff• Conference Room of the Village Hall.

Minutes of the January 6, 1987, meeting were approved.
I Old Business
A. Low Cost Health Care Update
The grant proposal submitted to the Chicago Community Trust
looks very promising at this point in time. A decision should
have been reached by the next Board of Health meeting. The
grant will be used to study'health care needs of the medically
indigent.
B. Congregate Senior Housing Update
J.P.Z. has not set a meeting date to discuss the proposed
Congregate Senior Housing Ordinance. They said they would
probably meet on this -subject in late February or early March.
C. Task Force - Senior Impact Study
Vie requested that the $2,500 in the 1986-1987 budget be
carried into the 1987-1988 budget, since we will not begin
this project until the next fiscal year.
D. Proposed Tanning Booth Ordinance
Mr. Zettek was given information on tanning booths. Pat McHale
is waiting for a response from him on this .subject.
E. Proposed Adult Day Care Ordinance
The final draft adult day care guidelines of the rllinois
Association of Adult Day Care Providers was distributed• to
the Board of Health for review. The Board will review the
document for discussion at the March meeting.

A. Coordinator's Report
- Tanning Booth Information -
Tanning booth information was sent to Mr. Zettek by Pat McHale.

- Immunization Clinics -
The 1987 Immunization Clinic schedule is as follows:
March 12, May 14, August 6, October 8 and December 10
from 4 to 6 p.m.
- The new addition will be ready for occupancy in May of
this year. Health Department offices are on the lower
level facing Biesterfield and are very spacious and a
much needed improvement.
- 1987-88 Budget -
Budget hearings with the Health Department and Administration
were held today. The Health Department is asking for
approximately $157,000. Budget -hearings with the Village
.Board will be held in. late February or early March. Board
of Health members will be notified of that meeting.

Two new restaurants opened. in the past month: Woody's
on Higgins and Taco Bell on Meacham.
Rats have been cited on the south central border area
of the Village. Residents have been given instructions on
what to do to correct the problem.
Dr. Kelly asked about 'what •the Village was doing to train lounge
personnel to recognize and handle customers that are drinking too much.
Trustee Petri said J.P.Z. was currently working on an ordinance
addressing this problem.
