---:Father Tessler of Alexian Brothers Medical Center was
contacted. He will be getting back to us after he has
spoken with Dr. Leischner regarding the attitude of the
medical staff at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
2. Health Impaired Elderly update
A report based on the census figures and other figures
brings the number of health impaired seniors to over
200 in the Village. However, 200 of seniors at Village
Grove Apartments (60 people) are health impaired. It
is very difficult to get an accurate figure from this
method. Pat McHale, as Village nurse at Schaumburg, will
get figures of her caseload in that Village. Her clients
will reflect non-seniors as well. Since moth communities
are homogeneous, this should give us a more representative
feel of those needing Home care in Elk .Grove. She will have
these figures at the- next meeting.
3. Day Care Ordinance
The ordinance is still in the hands of the Attorney.
4. Substance Abuse
The Plus Advisory Council idll be disbanding because the
program has lost its effectiveness in the schools. They are
reorganizing themselves into a group that will emphasize
r)arent.involvement in substance abuse. Commw-ity Service
and the Health Department will be marking on this program
cooperatively.
