MINUTES
July 11 , 1974
The meeting of the Elk Grove Village Board of Health
was called to order by Chairman Alan Antonik at 5 : 30 A.- M . on
July 11 , 1974 in the Elk Grove Village Municipal Building

1 ) Health Coordinator
The Board will recommend the hiring. of Nancy Magas Yiannias
effective September 1 , 1974 (wants to give her current employer
one month notice) 4t a Salary range bet.yeen $14 , 000-$14 , 500 . This
is within the $12 ,000-$15 ,000 range and the Board of Health feels
her background warrants the recommended salary range .
All present voted AYE to hire this woman . A memo , with
Nancy ' s resume, will be forthcoming to the Assistant Village Manager .
(Her present salary is $1.3 ,000 ) .
2) State Department of Public Health -
The July 19 , 1974 upcoming meeting of Health Officials was
discussed . County responsibilities are to be outlined to give
Village and City representatives an . idea of what is and is not
their areas of responsibility .
The meeting will be in the Woodfield Room at Woodfield
Shopping Center . If you desire further information , contact
Barbara Watson .
3) Resignation
The Board of Health unanimously agreed to have Pat Bourke
contact Mel Froney and ask him to resign from the Board . . Reasons
given are his lack of interest and lack of attendance .
A letter will be sent to Village President Zettek announc-
ing the Board ' s request to Mel Froney .
4) Miscellaneous .
a . The Assistant Village Manager is to be the liaison between
the Board of Health and the Village Board .
b . The Board of Health will develop a list of ordinances
needed for the Health Department.
c. Brother Ferdinand will be honored at dinner at the end of
September (date has net yet been set) in recognition of
his services to the Board of Health . The Board of Health
members , Village President and Board of Trustees , Village
Manager , and Assistant Village Manager ( and spouses ) will
be invited to attend this dinner .
