BOARD. OF HEALTH
October 11 , 1972
Members Present: Brother Ferdinand Leyva, CFA, Chairman; Mrs. .Donna
Farley; -Mrs. Trudy Brock, Secretary.
Others Present: Mrs. Barbara Watson, Health Inspector; Mr. Stephen
Skorcz; Survey Committee; Mrs. Pat Bourke, Survey
Committee; Mr. Fred. Gaca, Reporter, Elk Grove Herald.
There was no quorum. The meeting was not official .
Mrs. Watson reported that her Food Handlers ' Seminar was successful
in that key personnel from several stores and companies attended and
showed real interest.
Mrs. Farley presented the finished Health Survey. It will be
presented to the Trustees in two weeks (October 25 - 8:00 P.M. ) by
Brother Ferdinand, Mrs . Farley, Mrs. Bourke, and Mr: Skorcz. Guests
will be: Representatives from the Northern Illinois Planning Commission
and Comprehensive Health Planning, Inc. Also, Dr. Gallagher, Dr-. Hall ,
and Mr. Pahl .
The presentation will explain the organization and purposes of
the survey, with emphasis on the fact :that it is not an end in itself
but an instrument for achieving the goals which it points out. Maps
and transparancies will be used as visual aids.
On the basis of the survey, the Trustees can evolve a plan for
the future which could make the Village eli.gible for federal funds.
