BOARD OF HEALTH
April 12, 1972 '
Members Present: Brother Ferdinand, Mr. Antonik, Mrs . Brock, Mrs . Farley,
Dr. Kozak.
Others Present: Mrs . Barbara Watson, Mrs . Patricia Bourke, Mr. Jordan Rosen,
Mr. Stephen Skorcz .
Reports of Health Study Committee
1 . Mr. Skorcz - Coordinator. At a meeting next week, the Committee
will put a final polish on its report before submitting it to the Board
of Trustees.
2 . Mrs . Bourke - Health . Comprehensive Health care is becoming an
increasingly popular concept on a broad scale . All states are now
active in this field . Illinois wants local communities to do their own
planning as much as possible - to assume the responsibility for
narrowing the gap between current practices and. possible services .
Mrs . Bourke presented five recommendations from her Committee,
a four page preliminary draft.
Mrs . Brock moved approval of preliminary draft. Mr. Antonik
seconded . Passed unanimously.
3 . Mrs . Farley feels that the whole report may be ready by the June
meeting . The Committee will complete the report and submit it as
a finished document.
After the Board of Health has studied and approved the Committee's
report, it can be submitted to the Board of Trustees .
