Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on September 9, 2008, this Executive
Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager updated the Board on a proposal to purchase work identification uniform
shirts for non-uniform employees. Fire Inspectors, Channel 6, and Public Works employees will
have shirts that identify themselves as an employee of the Village. This proposal will improve
the professional appearance of building and engineering inspectors and make them readily
identifiable to the public.
Employees who work in the field will be given 10 shirts to begin the program, five (5) long-
sleeve shirts and five (5) short-sleeve shirts. Shirts will be replaced on a quarter master system.
As they wear out they will be replaced.
Office employees will be given one (1) shirt to wear in the office, or when required by their
department such as at the Open House of the Administration &Public Safety Complex or during
the Bike Race. This is a one-time purchase and will cost roughly$2,200 to buy one (1) for all
non-uniformed employees.
It was the consensus of the Board to approve the new dress code.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:18 p.m.
