Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on November 11, 2008, this Executive
Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village'.s Attorney, Bill Payne, has been on retainer at the cost of$500.00 per month for
nine to ten years. Mr. Payne is requesting an increase to $750.00 per month. He currently does a
lot of tax exemption work and most recently sent tax refunds for the temporary Police Station in
the amount of roughly$10,000.00. In the past, he has also done tax exemption work for
Dierking Terrace. It was the consensus of the Board to increase the retainer fee.from $500.00 to
$750.00 effective January 1, 2009.
