Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled
meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 9, 2008, this Executive
Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager updated the Board on a training session he held for all of the Department
Heads and support staff. Staff learned how to hire and train for character. One of the messages
suggested at the training is to seek people with positive attitudes and look for possible process
improvements. The Village Manager is dedicated to this program and will have follow-up
meetings with the management staff. He is looking forward to future meetings.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
