Old Business
1. Police Hiring Process
a. Update on Man Power Request—The Fire and Police commission was given
authorization from the Village Board to hire 5 police officers.
b. Update on Backgrounds—The police will attempt to have the first round of
backgrounds completed the week of March 20tH
c. Schedule for Individual Oral Interviews—The Commission will hold
individual interviews after the backgrounds are completed. The commission
will attempt to schedule the candidates in order of rank.
d. Time Frame for Medical, Psych, and Academy—The Police are searching for a
new provider for the police academy. The police believe the new recruits will
be sent to the academy in June.
New Business
1. 6 Month Probationary Review of FF Iossi. —The reviews received from supervisors
were positive. The commissioners communicated the positive reviews to the FF and
notified him of his Final Review date.
2. Consideration of adopting Friedman Psychological Testing procedure—The
Commissioners unanimously voted to adopt The Friedman Group as its sole provider
of psychological testing for Police and Fire Fighter Testing. The Commission will
sign a 2 year service agreement at its next meeting.
3. Discuss Hiring Process for new Fire Eligibility Lists—The commission wants IO
Solutions scheduled to discuss the next Fire Testing Process.
Eligibility List
1. Firefighter—Eligibility list containing 109 names will expire on 09/14/2017.
2. Fire Lieutenant—Nine names appear on the eligibility list scheduled to expire on
11/09/2017.
3. Police Officer—Eligibility list 02/21/2019
4. Police Sergeant—Three names remain on the list scheduled to expire on 07/07/2018.
